Gearing Up Again

The RenegadeHe’s making a list, checking it twice…

Hey, all y’all! I hope you’re doing well, and getting ready for a wonderful holiday season. Things around here have been a bit hectic these past few weeks, as I deal with the usual day-to-day life issues, and preparing for the upcoming tour. I’ve been splitting my time between learning new songs, packing for the tour, winterizing the house, and nursing My Sweet Someone back to normal after kidney surgery.

The upcoming tour includes stops in Montana, South Dakota, Idaho and Wyoming. At the very end, we’re spending a week in Washington where, in addition to performing with Ryan, we’ll be backing up Tina Turner and Barry White tributes. We’ll come home a few days before Christmas to enjoy time with family and friends, then fly up to Canada for a trio of dates. After that, we’re on a long Winter/early Spring break. I’m looking forward to the tour, especially the stops in South Dakota and Washington, as I’ve never played either state. Canada is also a new area for me, so that should be interesting as well.

To be honest, most of what’s going on is normal life-stuff. You know, the kind of thing we all deal with every day. It gives me a chuckle to know that there are some who are surprised to know that most of my life is really just normal. But when I’m home, I’m just one more guy with a long to-do list that includes things like laundry, grocery shopping, and wondering if he can catch an episode of Bones on TV.

So… that’s really about it. I’d love to have earth shaking news… oh, wait! I do! Ryan finally spilled the beans about his upcoming movie. That’s right, Ryan is going to be in a movie. In fact, he’s the star! I can’t tell you all that much about it yet, as I’ve not been involved in the project. What I do know is that it’s called The Identical, and it’s sort of a “what if?” scenario. Filming will take place from mid-January through the end of April. I’m very excited for Ryan, and hope the project goes well from end to end.

OK… now that’s really all I have to report. For those of you in the tour area, I hope you’ll come up and say hello. I met some great people last time out, and I hope I’ll see them again. I also hope I’ll meet some new friends. And to everyone, may your holiday season be everything you hope for, with some extra joy on top! Until next time,

God bless,

Lane
